Rhine Revisited
In 1945 Alfred Klinger was 17 when he joined the army. Fifty-nine years later, he returned to the scene of his youth, to the cold wintry march across the doomed Remagen Bridge, just over the Rhine. This time, the 78-year-old Klinger traveled by bicycle. (Top photo-Al biking the Danube) (Bottom-Al at a War Demonstration in Washington D.C.)
