Photos from the 2008 New York Festivals International Radio Broadcasting Awards
Dick Gordon and Ahmed Abdullah Fadaam were in New York City over the weekend of June 21, 2008, to accept 2008 New York Festivals International Radio Broadcasting Awards for their work on The Story.
Ahmed was honored with a Gold Medal in the New York Festival 2008 International Radio Broadcasting Award. Ahmed has been keeping an audio diary from Iraq for more than two years for The Story. Ahmed has recently left Iraq and is on sabbatical in the states. Ahmed received a standing ovation from the crowd.
Dick accepted the Gold World Medal for the program in which he interviewed 9-year-old Joshua Bertelson about having a parent serving in Iraq. That program was produced by Rebecca Blatt.
