Mel Luetchens recalls befriending German prisoners of war. At the time, Mel lived on a farm in Nebraska, and the prisoners were housed nearby. Top: Letters back and forth to Germany. Bottom: August Marx and his wife Paulina. August was a POW and became close friends with Mel.
