"Growth of a Leader" is the last Rockwell image Buddy modeled for. It was an original oil painting for the Boy Scout poster-calendar (1966). Top image: Buddy modeling for the painting. Bottom image: The Rockwell image. Buddy says "Norman aged me ten years for the Scout Master, and took off twenty years for the Boy Scout." The cub scout in the painting is based on a photo of Buddy's son Jimmy.
