Top, David Schwartz and Carol Grossmeyer in 2003. David ran Milwaukee's Harry W. Schwartz Bookshops until he died in 2004. Carol took over operations until the recession forced the shops to close down two weeks ago. Bottom, Harry W. Schwartz Bookshops Wisconsin Avenue shop in the 1950s.
