Access
to advanced reproductive technology has come a long way since the first
"test-tube baby" was born in 1978. Now an estimated 40,000 children are
born each year through artificial insemination.

by women, often single women who are choosing to have children on their
own. Dick explores the ethical, medical, emotional and financial
questions with Judy, who chose to become a mom at age forty-three.

DONOR DAD

He estimates that anywhere from 200 to 400 children may share his

about his identity and the relationships he's forged with his
biological offspring.
