The Lure of Plastic
Many Americans have had no choice but to swear off credit cards. In this economy, credit is harder to come by and debt has spun out of control. Dick Gordon talks with a woman who now sees her relationship with credit cards as an addiction. Barbara, out of the respect for the anonymity of her 12 step program, is just using her first name. She talks with Dick about the fantasy land shopping used to take her to, and what finally made her see the emptiness in her buying habits.

The Idaho Black History Museum
Christine Acosta visited the Idaho Black History Museum for a school project and was surprised to find the museum barely open. She realized funding problems were keeping the museum's extraordinary holdings from wider exposure, so she got some people together and planned a fundraiser. Christine talks with Dick about what the result was - not quite what she expected.
