His brother told Victor that she was trying to learn English.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="imageleft"&gt;&lt;img class="image-left" src="resolveuid/b42899eb5c6dba402d48f713a45a2e6e" alt="Vic and Marianne Anderson" height="100" width="100" /&gt;Marianne and Vic Anderson&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Victor and Marianne stayed pen pals for 12 years before they finally met. For 30 years, the Dothan High School Class of 1977 had been holding segregated reunions. This year, the black and white students had their reunion together for the first time.
