Mojo Music
Musicians all have their inspiration, and Scott Biram adds to that with a small bag that's always with him to protect him: his mojo bag. There are bones inside and a piece of the boyhood house of Muddy Waters. More often than not, he's on the road, and his songs are based on what he sees on the highway, the good and bad.
Hubert Sumlin
We stop a moment to listen to the arresting guitar work of Howard Sumlin, who died this week. He's known for his collaboration with Howlin' Wolf and his performances of classic blues songs.
Yankees vs. Cubans
We check back in on Charlie Miranda who took part in a baseball game in Cuba in 1954. He spent much of the last year gathering up his old players to return to Cuba for a rematch. We hear how it turned out.
Music in the program: Wreck My Car, I Want My Mojo Back, I See the Light, Open Road, Hit the Road, Hospital Escape, Time Flies; Just Another River, and Victory Song by Scott Biram. Killing Floor performed by Hubert Sumlin, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray and Jimmie Vaughan; Spoonful and Red Rooster by Howlin' Wolf; Take Me Out to the Ballgame, Pascal Bonniere
