RECOVERING MEMORY IN JOPLIN
It’s been 6 months since the devastating tornado in Joplin, Missouri. Since then, Angela Walters has spent hours and hours each week gathering up photographs that were lost to the winds and connecting them back to the photo’s owner. She has come to know families and their history through the photos and been able to comfort some who lost loved ones.

Alex Morse was recently elected mayor of his hometown of Holyoke, Massachusetts, one of the poorest cities in the state. He is only 22. He’s never managed a budget and never held elected political office outside student council - this is his first real job. But he believes he is what the city needs to turn itself around.
